Tip: Dress in layers—mornings can be chilly, but you’ll warm up quickly once tracking begins.
Modest dress is appreciated—especially in rural areas and places of worship. Lightweight, breathable fabrics are ideal for lowland safaris, while warmer layers and a rain jacket are essential in high‑altitude lodges like Bwindi or the Rwenzoris.
Uganda: 240 V, three‑pin (square) sockets
Rwanda: 230 V, two‑pin (round) sockets
Most lodges offer charging points in rooms or common areas. We also provide universal adapters, but feel free to bring your own.

Yes. You must have comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering high‑risk activities like trekking. Please upload proof of insurance before departure.
Uganda: Single‑entry tourist visa (USD 50) available online or on arrival. Citizens of EAC, COMESA, and Ireland travel visa‑free.
Rwanda: Visa on arrival or e‑visa (USD 50). An East African tourist visa (USD 100) covers Kenya, Uganda & Rwanda.
A Yellow Fever certificate is required for both countries. Always check the official immigration sites for the latest rates.

Temperatures on the plains range from 21 °C to 30 °C year‑round. High‑altitude areas can drop to 10 °C at night. Long rains typically occur March–April and October–November, but showers can pop up anytime. Most travelers prefer the dry seasons: June–September and December–February.
