Experience an unforgettable trip from Kampala to the serene shores of Diani. With exciting travel, beach vibes, nightlife, shopping and more, this itinerary guarantees good vibes only.
On 27th December, the adventure begins! We shall all meet at exactly 1:00 PM—bags packed, spirits high, and hearts full of anticipation. This will be the moment we kick off our magnificent vacation together. After brief introductions and a few group photos, we'll set off by 2:30 PM, embarking on our exciting overnight journey from Kampala to Nairobi. The scenic road trip will take approximately 12 to 13 hours, giving us a chance to bond, share stories, and dream about the coastal magic awaiting us in Diani.
By early morning on December 28th, between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM, we’ll roll into Nairobi City. Here, we'll hop into Ubers and cruise straight to the Nairobi Terminus to catch the iconic SGR train bound for Mombasa. This 6-hour train ride treats us to breathtaking views of the wild Kenyan savannah and landscapes as we make our way to the coast. Upon arriving in Mombasa, we’ll hop on the Likoni Ferry, and sail into the dreamy paradise of Diani Town. Once we reach our accommodation, it’s time to check in, freshen up, grab a bite, and unwind. The rest of the evening is for personal relaxation. At 9:00 PM, we gather for a warm, hearty supper before retiring at leisure.
We start the day early, with breakfast served at 7:30 AM. Our driver will pick us up at 8:00 AM for a direct transfer to the magnificent Wasini Island in Diani. Wasini is a truly breathtaking destination. During the boat trip to the island, we’ll have the chance to watch dolphins swimming close by, and for the adventure lovers, there will be an opportunity to dive in and swim with them. We’ll enjoy snorkeling and a variety of other exciting beach activities on the island. We’ll take beautiful pictures and create unforgettable memories together. After the experience, we’ll head back to Diani, return to our accommodation for dinner, and later—those who wish—can explore Diani’s vibrant nightlife at their own pace.
December 30th welcomes us fully into the magic of Diani. After a relaxed 9:00 AM breakfast, we’ll head to the spectacular Diani Beach for a full day of freedom, fun, and sun! Think jet skiing, camel rides, beach volleyball, paddleboarding or simply soaking up the sunshine and sipping fresh coconut juice under the palm trees. As golden hour approaches, we’ll make our way to the serene Kongo River for a magical sundowner experience nature, colors, and calm blending into one unforgettable moment. After an 8:00 PM dinner, the night comes alive with Diani’s electrifying nightlife. Whether it’s beach lounges, lively dance floors, or just chilled vibes under the stars, this is your night to feel the coast.
We’ll start the day early with a pickup from our residence to catch the 8:00 AM SGR. The six-hour journey offers a perfect chance to enjoy scenic views of Kenya along the way. We’ll arrive in Nairobi at 2:00 PM, check in, have lunch, and then head out to explore the city. Our first stop will be the Museum of Illusions, where you’ll enjoy mind-bending installations and plenty of fun photo moments. Afterwards, we’ll prepare to usher in the New Year. You’re free to choose how you’d like to celebrate—either attend a church mass/service or head into the city to watch the New Year festivities. Retire for the night at your own leisure.
We enjoy a slow, relaxed morning with breakfast at 9:00 AM. Later, we switch into full shopping mode—visiting Nairobi’s best malls and the famous Maasai Market, known for its unique crafts, jewelry, souvenirs, and handmade treasures by Maasai artisans. We then embark on a Final Nairobi City Tour, capturing our last beautiful moments in the city. In the evening, we head to the station to catch our 5:00 PM bus back to Kampala—closing off our unforgettable Nairobi–Diani experience.
